Per Diem NP/PA, RNFA-Operative-Vascular Surgery:
St. Joseph’s Health is currently seeking a Per Diem Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a busy, high-acuity vascular surgery service that will expose you to a highly specialized patient population while also including direct medical management of the hospitalized patient. Available shifts include days, nights, evenings, and weekends, with 10-hour and 12-hour options.
Responsibilities:
- Manage pre and postoperative care of the hospitalized patient including performing rounds, conducting physical exams, ordering and interpreting appropriate tests, admission history and physicals
- Collaborate with and work at direction of attending physicians to form plans of care and manage hospitalized patients
- First assist in the operating room with all vascular surgery cases
- Inpatient only, no clinic
Qualifications:
- NYS licensed PA or NP (RNFA), DEA certified/eligible
- Preferred vascular or cardiothoracic surgical experience
- Must have inpatient adult medicine experience
- NP applicants must already possess their RNFA certification
Compensation package:
- Compensation package: $75.00 per hour
- $10/hr differential for evenings
- $12/hr differential for nights
